Sporting a bristle diameter of 45 mm, the Vanguard offers excellent lathering thanks to its two-tone synthetic bristles. These are designed to mimic badger hair as closely as possible, meaning they're soft to the touch and retain water well. All of which makes for the premium lather that you get from badger, but without the premium price.

The white handle has an attractive wasp-waisted design which is comfortable to grip. It's stamped with the distinctive Bluebeards Revenge logo in blue.
